The Ole Miss AMA Chapter is always striving to find new and creative ways to expose students to the world of marketing. That’s why every year the AMA is a completely new and different experience from previous years.

We’ve gone to career fairs, basketball games, even the Batesville Casket Company. Students are highly encouraged to be creative and submit ideas for AMA activities. If there is a way, we’ll find a way to do it.

Past Activities and Events
2005 Mosaic Career Fair: Most recently we traveled to Atlanta to participate in a career fair specifically targeted towards marketing students. Some of the largest and well known advertising agencies in the nation were present including: TBWA/Chiat/Daly, Grey Worldwide, and Ogilvy & Mather. The AMA also attended several panel discussions with ad agency executives, employees, and recruiters. The event was a huge success, giving students vital information about career paths as well as opening doors to job opportunities.

Creating Commercials: For the past two years The Ole Miss AMA Chapter has had teams develop the Ole Miss Promotional Spot played during the half time of Rebel football games. Developing the idea for this commercial has given students a great opportunity as well as hands-on work experience.

Memphis Grizzlies: During the fall of 2004 the AMA traveled to the Fed Ex Forum to meet with Grizzlies Director of Marketing, Andy Dolich, and also to catch their very first game in their new arena.

Nashville Career Fair: In the spring of 2004 the AMA traveled to Nashville to attend a job fair while also meeting with the marketing departments of the Country Music Association and the Nashville Predators.
